Havas Village powers Social Newsroom at Prolific North Live


For one day only, Havas Village Manchester took over Prolific North’s social channels for the first Prolific North Live event.

With 2,000 visitors, 100 exhibitors, 60 companies, 30 speakers and #PNLive trending on Twitter for 13 hours, the first Prolific North Live event was a roaring success. 

The Havas Village Social Newsroom provided real-time commentary and content amplification at the event on 2nd February, capturing content, driving social amplification and breaking news throughout the day. 

The team of 15 reporters, content creators, editors and community managers from Havas Media, Socialise and Havas PR UK were situated in glass-fronted hub overlooking the main exhibition hall. 

Roving reporters captured and shared a wealth of content throughout the day,  including keynote speeches, behind the scenes interviews, exclusive insights and even things 'overheard at Prolific North Live.' 

The Social Newsroom also secured and captured exclusive interviews with keynote speakers from the event, including Lucy West, Head of News at ITV, and Stuart Rowson, Editor of BBC Sport Online.
The partnership was a UK first for Prolific North Live and comes after the success of the Havas Café Social Newsroom at Cannes festival over the last two years.
