Havas pays homage to Burns with the launch of Asda’s first ever media dinner in Scotland

The Havas Edinburgh team recently hosted a traditional Burns Supper at the Edinburgh Cookery School, inviting journalists and influencers to enjoy Asda’s locally sourced Scottish product range.

This was the first media dinner Asda has hosted in Scotland, which was kicked off with the traditional piping and address to the haggis, followed by a delicious Burns Supper and whisky cocktails.

Feedback from journalists/influencers was fantastic, with many commenting that it was one of the best Burns Suppers they’ve been to.

  • Scott Reid, business editor at The Scotsman“Thanks to you and Asda folks for a brilliant night... and the goody bag. The food was all amazing, honestly one of best meals had in some time.”
  • Emma Newlands, business reporter at The Scotsman – “Just wanted to say a massive thanks for last night's event - was great to catch up and I really enjoyed the evening. Thanks also for the goody bag bonanza.”
  • Brian McIver, features editor at The Daily Record“Thanks again for last night, had a brilliant time!”
  • Stephanie Abbot, editorial team at Scottish Field magazine“Thank you so much for having me - it was a great night and I met some lovely people!

As part of the event we also announced that local supplier Simon Howie had received a national listing in time for Burns night with their haggis line heading into 300 stores UK wide, this was then featured in The Scotsman and Daily Record.
